Mundipharma Singapore Wins Office Design Award

Mundipharma Singapore’s office interiors have emerged as the Bronze Winner in the hotly contested Interior Space and Exhibition Design Category at the A’ Design Award 2013-2014.

The A’ Design Award and Competition is the world’s largest design competition awarding best designs, design office-design-pharmaconcepts and products & services. Organized annually, it receives thousands of submissions every year, encompassing exhibition participants from over eighty countries. Mundipharma Singapore’s new office was officially unveiled at a grand ceremony in January 2014, which also commemorated the establishment of Mundipharma Singapore as the Regional Headquarters for its operations in Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and North Africa.

“We are thrilled to receive this prestigious award – it is yet another proof point showcasing Mundipharma as the ‘new face of pharma’. The main purpose behind this innovative design was to create a liberating atmosphere for employees and encourage an entrepreneurial spirit amongst them, such that they are empowered to make decisions with the purpose of ensuring patients enjoy a better quality of life,” said Raman Singh, President of Mundipharma Asia Pacific, Latin America, Middle East and Africa.

The design of the award-winning office was conceptualized by Apcon Pte Ltd, a local interior design firm. The design team cited Mundipharma’s corporate image as the key inspiration, attributing the overall concept to “the shape of Mundipharma’s company logo, which was the key visual that inspired the modern undertones and unique use of static geometrical shapes to achieve unity in the overall design”. A vital priority was to have elements that exude personalisation and thoughtfulness, while not diminishing the ‘WOW’ factor for whoever walks inside the office.

The new cutting-edge office at Asia Square houses the company’s rapidly growing headcount of 70 employees, and is well-equipped with modern décor such as a beanbag chill-out zone, ceiling to floor glass panels, as well as an open-concept pantry with a tea corner offering a wide range of international designer teas for staff meetings.
