7 August 2013, Shanghai – Colliers International is continuing its growth in the Shanghai real estate market by recruiting Cushman & Wakefield’s team of 14 professionals to its local office. With the expertise of its new members, Colliers is now set to expand its coverage of the city’s office real estate market and strengthen its services to developers, landlords and tenants.
“We are delighted to have the former Cushman & Wakefield team on board. They are bringing their unparalleled experience and industry connections to Colliers, which will in turn help to accelerate the success of our entire office services platform,” comments Piers Brunner, Chief Executive Officer, Asia, Colliers International.
“One of our top priorities is to deliver comprehensive services to our international clients through an integrated platform and collaborative culture. Besides benefiting our business in China and Asia as a whole, this strategic expansion will also form an integral part of our global service offerings to international clients.”
The new team members will help to upgrade Colliers’ services in three main areas:
- Developer Services, a new service that incorporates resources drawn mainly from Advisory Services, Office Services and Project Sales & Marketing. Its objective is to deliver seamless, one-stop solutions to real estate developers. Daniel Wang, formerly executive director of the Shanghai and East China operations of Cushman & Wakefield, has been appointed Executive Director, Developer Services, East China and General Manager, at Colliers Shanghai.
- Nine new experts have joined the Tenant Representation team. Four of them have set up the new Japanese Desk to expand Colliers’ market coverage. Alex Xi, the Director of Office Services – Tenant Representation, will co-lead this team in driving growth in the market.
- Colliers Shanghai has appointed Andy Qian as Director of Office Services - Landlord Representation. He will also be in charge of major office sales projects, leading three new sales professionals in delivering enhanced services to landlords and vendors.
“These strategic hires are significant for our business. We now have dedicated resources to provide one-stop solutions to developers. The new team members give Colliers the most experienced office leasing and sales experts in the Shanghai market,” says Lina Wong, Managing Director, East and Southwest China and China Investment Services, Colliers International. “Our enhanced platform will put us at the forefront in the region’s commercial real estate market.”
